Happy Hannukah!!

No, again I have not posted in a while. As my post title suggests, I do celebrate Hannukah, which begins on Tuesday. This holiday season I am looking toward a Runescape membership, but that has forced me to cancel my Wizard101 membership. Dad is already paying $10 a month, so I don't see how an extra $6 could men so much to him...     Oh yeah, I've suddenly become infatuated with Runescape. I haven't played in a while, but I started a new account about two weeks ago. I've been missing so much; the new game features are awesome!! I love the money pouch and the toolbelt feature, and the new look for the Grand Exchange.
So, concerning the Diadem, about a week ago Aidan came over, and we started surfing Youtube, and he mentioned that I hadn't posted any fanfic in a while, so I was like, "Really? You read my blog nowadays?" So, we started working on the fanfiction chapter, which was the epic fight consisting of Caroline, Aedan, and Rebecca vs. Travis Spelldust. Unfortunately for us, Aidan's brother Travis was in the next room studying. He had been told to supervise us, so he came in and started reading the chapter, and he didn't appear to be happy. To make a long story short, the chapter has been deleted and I am now to start from scratch on it.
So in the present, I'm either going to school, playing Runescape or going on dA. I used to blog daily; now I just feel inactive.
But, stay tuned!!

Back

So I haven't posted in awhile...I don't have anything to post...
I haven't played Wizard101 in a month...
I thought I should post to tell you I'm still here...
I'm so sorry I don't have the next chapter of the Diadem...
I should post more often...
I'm too preoccupied with drawing stuff... and, um, television...
Hey look, a drawing!

So... till next time! Right now I have to use the bathroom... badly. >.<

1st Anniversary

So when you woke up this morning you probably didn't realize that this is the First Anniversary of the blog A Spell of Role-Playing Games and Randomness (Also the 152nd post!)! So many people to thank! Oh, where do I begin? There's god of course, and, umm... *takes list out of pocket*
First I want to thank the Kingsisle staff, because if they hadn't created the game, this blog wouldn't even exist in the first place. To be honest, Wizard101 is THE BEST!! I'm glad they created such an awesome game!
Next I would like to thank Aedan Thunderpyre. You actually haven't been being a very good friend lately, but I want to thank you for all the support you gave for this blog, and the help I got from you in March. You helped shape ASRPGR into what it is today, and you're really fun to play MMOs with, even if you do randomly jump into combat sometimes.
Third I would like to thank  Valerian Seasong. You're really fun to draw, and you've always been encouraging me to try my hardest. If you hadn't been there, I wouldn't have been able to go through with having the 'green apples' ice cream. That's probably the worst ice cream flavor... ever.
Now, I thank Vanessa Emeraldglade. Your wiziversary was really fun, and conversing with you in the game was pretty cool. Reading your post archives always cheered me up when I was feeling bored or upset, because your posts are really funny!
Fifth in line is the blog Finn & Quinn. Your posts have always captivated me, and you play a lot of cool games besides Wizard101. Without your blog around, I never would have found out about a lot of cool stuff. One of those things actually helped me with this thing at school. Who knew my blogging knowledge would come in handy?
Sixth, I'm going to thank Emma Dawnrider. You've been commenting on a lot of my posts since the start of the school year, and I think you're a really good author. When you grow up you should start writing books for young adults! Your stories are that good!
Seventh I want to thank any and all of my followers. Except for one, because the follower I speak of sent me a website adress that led to photo gallery. In this photo gallery I saw pictures that BURNED MY EYES OUT!! But beside the fact, it makes me really happy just to know that people are reading my blog. You guys are awesome :)
Last I want to thank all the other Wizard101 bloggers. You guys were a great source of inspiration to me, and you motivated me to start this blog, or as it was originally called, The Wizard101 Story. It actually kind of funny that in my first post I said that it was going to be a story blog, when actually it was a lot more. I would actually like to type in more stuff to say, but I have to go to a music lesson, but look at some of the older posts!
     Dawnrunner, out!

Ask Caroline

So I went to my friend's house recently. BTW, my friend is nuts about Sailor Moon and Pokémon.    Anyways, whenever we meet up my friend always asks me, "Where did you learn to draw like that?" Yes, I've been asked a lot of times before. A LOT. In my homeroom. At my house. On the internet. On my bus. At basketball camp. At-- well, I think you get it.
Another question I've been asked a lot is, "Why do you hate gum?" I've heard this one many a time, also. My mom asks me literally every day. Most recently Aedan asked me this.
Oh, here's a good one: "Don't you realize that your singing voice is horrible?" Yeah, that comes up once in a while. Thank you very much, Eric.
These are all FAQ, or Frequently Asked Questions. Since I have nothing else to post about, I am going to answer all of these.

1. Where did you learn to draw like that?
Whenever somebody asks me this, I usually say, "the internet." If truth be told, I learn from a lot of different sources. After watching 52 episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender, 107 episodes of Inuyasha, reading 2 volumes of Sorcerers & Secretaries, and staring intently at my friend's Ranma 1/2 poster for ten full minutes, I was finally able to draw Kikyō from Inuyasha, freehand. After that I learned a lot from other places, like I would try to copy pictures from manga I was reading, or examine someone else's artwork. That "critical eye" technique helps a lot, too, and also this website Manga University.
Some of my blog viewers might be aware that I'm also taking an art class. Learning from different sources helps you develop your own style, I guess.

2. Why do you hate gum?
Gum is really disgusting. My mom chews it all the time, and she sticks it in the most disgusting places. On her sunglasses, under the table, on my breakfast plate... one time she even stuck it on to my Rubix cube! I'm never touching that thing again!! Plus, I don't like the smell. Two pairs of my shoes have been ruined in the past by this substance, and people on the bus keep sticking theirs in my hair. Speaking of the bus, a kid I know on it does this really disgusting thing with his gum... *shudder*
Point is, gum is the worst! That's why I don't like that girl from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

3. Don't you realize your songing voice is horrible?
What are you talking about? My singing voice is melodious.

And, I believe that's it. In a few days this blog will have existed for a year.

Bullying

Hey, I'm here to talk to you about one of the worst problems we have worldwide (besides apocalypse, Aedan. Yeesh.) which is bullying. Bullying can come from lots of sources. It could be hearing someone talking behind your back, or feeling intimidated by somebody, being physically attacked, or even as simple as saying, "Sorry, I don't want you in my group." Heck, I actually started this blog because I thought a world away from the bullies at school would help me gain more friends online, since I had a reputation for being kind of stupid at school. Actually, sometimes I feel stupid for commenting/getting involved with things online, and when people ignore it.    But still, if you bully someone, you should know that somebody might pretend to be unaffected, but on the inside they are hurt. More sensitive people might cry or throw fits, but is usually want bullies want, so they can feel better about themselves. You might think if you cry the bully will feel sorry for you, but the one time I did that back in 5th grade, the bully didn't even look around. Trust me, bullies can be heartless people sometimes. My mom actually quit her job in the past because she felt intimidated by one of her co-workers. What some people don't realize is that bullying can destroy lives, and cause suicide.
They say that if you ignore a bully, they'll stop, but bullies will still continue, and their means things to say about you will spread to others. Once I smiled at a girl on the bus, then she turned and told her friend, "Caroline's smile is so weird. She looks like she's cross-eyed!" Also, if you're thinking about making those dramatic outbursts on TV where the victims take control of the situation by telling the bully to stop in a way that makes the bully feel bad about themselves, but seriously, real life isn't like that. The bully will ignore what you have to say if continue discriminating you. What you should really do in this situation is just tell your teacher, the bully's teacher, or the principal. One of these people will at least try to help out the situation, and the bully would be warned about their behavior. In a few states now, there are actually laws against bullying now. If you go to school in one of these states, and you tell an adult about the bully, the person who is victimizing you will definitely be aware of the stain they'll receive on their permanent. You don't have to be brave and heroic to stop a bully, but an adult would usually do anything they can to stop the situation.

In other news, my mom wants me to design clothing that she can make. Mom's really awesome at sewing; she sells clutches, dresses, and clothing to consignment shops, and she runs a small business. She thinks if I make up clothing with my drawing abilities and she sews it with her sewing abilities, we'd be unstoppable.

Oh yeah, meet Chloe, my cartoon model. Chloe has been dying her hair pink since she was 13 (BTW Chloe is 16), she has green eyes, and she lives for fashion. Chloe is nearsighted and got prescription glasses when she was 8, but usually she wears contact lenses. She is an original character of mine, so she has to wear whatever I draw her wearing. For example:

(Oh, my SAI trial ended, so now I have to use colored pencils and Photoshop. But nooo, it's not the Photoshop you're thinking of, it's the free version people use to doctor up photographs.)
Well no, this isn't such a great picture, especially since Chloe's left arm looks funny. But, yeah, she's wearing a vest. And that concludes our post.

Art Class

Well well well, who is this interesting little group you may ask? [Q1] Why do they have numbers floating in midair above their heads? [Q2] What will happen next? [Q3] What does the letter Q stand for? [Q4] What!?!? You just did it again!! What is the Q for?! [Q5] GOD!! Well, I'll tell you.

Q1. Who is this attractive little group you may ask?
A1. This group happens to be my Shōnen Anime Art Class. We're supposed to be drawing until November, every Monday. It doesn't help that everybody here is a Pokémon freak except for me. Figure #3 in the picture I drew wore a Pikachu sweater to our second class, which was a week ago. It was actually a cool sweater.

Q2. Why do they have numbers floating in midair above their heads?
A2. Well, it's part of the diagram, in which I give information on each person.

Figure #1: The teacher. I think he is in his twenties. He knows everything there is to know about anime, except I've read all the volumes of Inuyasha and he hasn't, which is pretty cool :). He is also an amazing artist. Once I asked him to draw Ichigo and Naruto fighting each other, and he did this really awesome picture on a dry-erase board . . . with a dry-erase marker . . . in seven minutes XD! His favorite Bleach character is Chad Sado, I think.

Figure #2: That is Alex. He has very curly hair and he is in my grade and goes to my school. He also happens to be a Shōnen Jump guru. He knows a whole lot about Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Bleach, One Piece, Naruto, Hikaru No Go, Death Note, and, umm, others. His favorite manga is One Piece and his favorite anime character of all time is Goku from Dragon Ball Z. I told him my favorite character has always been Yoruichi. Yoruichi is awesome :3. Oh, and so is Shippō.

Figure #3: This person is a Pokémon guru. She has Pokémon clothing, pokéballs, figurines, manga, anime DvDs, trinkets, TCG, posters, and video games. I'm kidding of course; but she does like Pokémon a lot. It's hard to tell with these people. She is also the overall best anime artist in the class besides Figure #1. She can draw Pokémons and cats from the Warriors book series really well. Also, she's very nice to me :)

Figure #4: He is blonde. I don't know much about him, but he likes Pokémon, he is in 7th or 8th grade, and he's pretty good at drawing

Figure #5: Redheaded. I don't know her name. Only speaks when spoken to. Art could use improvement in some areas. Enjoys Inuyasha, I think...

Figure #6: Well now who is this extremely attractive 12 year-old way down at the end? That's me. I have been drawing anime since I was 11, and my favorite anime characters are Shippō, Yoruichi, and Toph. Enough said.

Q3. What will happen next?
A3. FOOD FIGHT!! *throws tomato*

Q4. What does the letter Q stand for?
A4. It stands for 'question'. Anybody who hasn't figured that out by now is a FOOL.

Q5. What!?!? You just did it again!! What is the Q for?!
A5. OH MY GOD!!! WHAT THE HECK IS THAT!?!? WHERE DID IT COME FROM!?
Q5. What!? Where!?!?
A5. *smoke bomb escape*

At Long Last!

I took centuries but I finally bought and read the last volume of Chobits! I started crying near the end of the book though, I am not sure why. I haven't cried that much over a Japanese cartoon ever-- unless you count this episode in the Inuyasha anime that I was watching. When I read that part in the Inuyasha manga I didn't cry at all. O.o
...But point is I finally got to finish Chobits. My life is now complete.

So all that's left to do now is watch the anime. I can probably stream from my Netflix TV Queue. That's how I got to watch Bleach and Inuyasha without having to look through the channels for it. I figure everybody these days has a Netflix TV Queue.
Well I really have nothing else to say now. Here's a picture of me on a mount from a code I redeemed.

Lots to Say (Pray for those on Flight 93)

This. Is a Schrute buck. Every time you do something good in the office, you will gain a Shrute buck. When you have 1,000 Shrute bucks, you can cash it in for an extra five minutes on your lunch break.
In real money, 1,000 Schrute bucks are worth 1/10 of a dollar. That is all.

Hello guys! Yes the The Office is and always will be my favorite TV show! Before we get started anything, I would like to remember the 3,000 who died on 9/11 when the World Trade Center was destroyed, and the Pentagon was assaulted. I was very littel when this happened, but whenever I hear about 9/11/2001, my heart hurts. Another plane was headed most likely to the White House, but it crash landed into a field. Ten years previous to this day, this whole thing happened. Parents lost children and children lost parents. We've been at war with Afghanistan for nearly ten years now. Hopefully you've visited Ground Zero to pay your respects recently.

Moving on...

Today is my dads birthday, and as of yesterday I now wear prescription glasses! it turns out I am nearsighted, so I can't see things from far away. But now I am a glasses wearer. Don't judge me. Maybe next year I can get contacts.

The Diadem: Secret Lies in Death
by Caroline Dawnrunner

Something warm and wet trickled down my arm, making me feel numb. The wyvern’s teeth had drawn blood. Then, the numbness was gone, and the full reality of the situation hit in a tidal wave, pain included. I cried out.
The ice wyvern pulled its head back for another assault. I squeezed my eyes shut, waiting for an impact…
BAM! My stomach was hit as I fell over. Looking up through, watery, fatigued eyes, I discovered Rebecca had tackled me down and taken the wyvern’s blow. She wasn’t supposed to leave her spot in the dueling circle, but nothing works the right way when you’re cheating.
Rebecca quickly healed herself, and Aedan put Thermic Shields on both of us. I winced in pain, realizing that both my arm and my stomach hurt— a lot.
How did I get into this mess? What is going on? Who is attacking me? All good questions. It’s hard to believe that it all started two weeks prior to all this, when it feels like a year ago.

Well, two weeks ago, I was level 47. After finishing up my last side quest in the Crystal Grove, I decided to take a break for a little bit and hang out in the Commons. I stocked up on potions and regained mana and health, sold my drop items to the Bazaar, and equipped a new pet from a boss monster. After all this, I didn’t feel like going to The Forum right away, so I ambled over to the Wizard City Library.
I opened the big doors to the wizard media center (which, by the way, are super heavy), and was greeted warmly by the librarian, Harold Argleston.
    “Good afternoon, Caroline,” he said.
The librarian is not a regular-looking person like you or I. He is actually a walking, talking dog, believe it or not. I’m not sure what breed he is, but maybe some kind of terrier. I’m used to stuff like this, though. I’ve been to worlds with talking main species like cows, bears, pigs, and dogs (just like Mr. Argleston).
Besides the fact that the library is owned by an anthropomorphic dog wearing clothing, the library is actually pretty cool itself. The catalog is a sheet of parchment, which you can tell to the title or author of the book to, and whoosh, the call number and book information magically appears on the sheet. When you put books in the Book Depository near the library’s side door, whoosh, the book flies back magically to the section it originated. If that isn’t cool enough, the library is literally open 24/7. Boris Tallstaff works the night shift with some of his friends voluntarily (of course, nobody actually checks out a book at two in the morning).
So, the library’s business was pretty slow that day. Mr. Argleston yawned widely and straightened his spectacles while he traded a few Treasure Cards with a Life student. A Conjurer with bright green hair was sitting down on an easy chair and reading On Dragons and Giants— the War of Fire and Ice.  An elated Sorcerer signed out for The Krokotopian Conspiracy: Vol. 12. Boris Tallstaff sat on a pile of books looking bored out of his mind.
I had never been much of a bookworm before I found out I was a wizard, but when I first set foot in the library at level 4, the sight of all the different books from ancient tomes to paperback publications by student wizards in all the different colors of the rainbow could make one’s mouth salivate. Ever since then, I had enjoyed picking up books from the library to read in bed at my own house. But this time I was not there to pick up books to read for fun. I was here on business.
Ever since I found out there was a traitor in our midst, I was seriously worried about who it could possibly be. And more than anything, I wanted to find the diadem ASAP. Since nobody seemed to know more about Sylvia Drake and her Diadem than Gloria Krendell (the only thing she knew is that Sylvia used to wear a circlet that looked nice on her), I decided to hit the books.
I chose a catalog sheet out a stack of parchment, and brought over to a table and laid it down flat. In a lucid voice, I said to the paper, “Author. Drake, Sylvia.”
The immediate results on the paper were all titles by Cyrus Drake, showing some of his knowledge about Myth creatures and rants about his students. I frowned, then scrolled down on the paper like it was an IPod Touch. The only results were a few more books by Cyrus, and a book on Death spells by Malistaire Drake.
I tried saying it again as clear as I could, but the paper didn’t change. There wasn’t even a book on Life creatures or Theurgy spells. Out of sheer frustration, I struck the parchment with my fist. I’m pretty impatient sometimes.
“You don’t need to bang the paper to make it work,” somebody said.
I turned around. A Death student stood about a few feet from where I was, his arms crossed. He had Terminus strapped to his back like Aedan sometimes wore his Staff of the Ice Wyvern, his clothing was black and red, and his hair was light blue.
“I guess you would know where to find a book by Sylvia Drake,” I mumbled.
“What did you say? Sylvia Drake?” the Necromancer seemed curious now.
“Nothing,” I sighed. “I just wanted to see if she ever wrote a book of some sort that’s here in the library.”
“Oh yeah, she was an author all right,” he said, “But you won’t find her books in the library.”
    I raised an eyebrow. “Huh?”
“Oh yeah, when Sylvia died from a cold, Malistaire got really upset,” he persisted. “He wanted to keep every reminder of her away from everybody else’s eyes. He took every memento and remembrance he could get his hands on and hid them.”
I snapped to attention. “Where?” I asked eagerly.
“Nobody knows exactly where,” he answered. “But rumor has it that it’s somewhere in Nightside.”
My heart racing, my legs went just as fast out the library doors. This treasure trove of Malistaire’s might be as good a lead as any.

Meanwhile, Valerian Seasong watched as the Conjurer raced out the door. What was up with that? He had remembered to brush that morning…

When I got to the Rainbow Bridge, I ducked my head under the roaring waterfall, emerging soaking wet under the other side of the waterfall. I used the Treasure Card ‘Air Dry’ (Divination card) and then proceeded to the black door that led to Nightside.
Nightside was pretty empty as well. Other than three wizards entering the Sunken City, the Death School was silent as the grave, no pun intended.
The silence was broken by the horrible sound of Mortis’s chattering teeth. Trust me, the resonance of two strips of rotten wood grinding against each other is not a pleasant one.
So, my first place to look around was inside the School of Death. I sauntered over to the sunken school and opened the doors, which creaked noisily.
The inside was basically just as deserted as the rest of Nightside. The candles lining the banisters offered a very dim light to see by, so if some undead creature was hiding somewhere in the area you’d get a pretty good shock. Dworgyn the hunchback sat at his desk near the front of the room grading papers and writing memos so quietly that I almost didn’t notice him.
“… Mr. Dworgyn?” I said quietly.
The Death teacher grunted and shifted his attention onto me, spilling candle wax on his paper in the process.
“Something you want? I’m busy,” he murmured.
Dworgyn looked like he was trying to slip back into writing out a business letter to Professor Balestrom, so I replied quickly, “Sir… how well did you know Malistaire Drake?”
He set aside his piece of parchment and brought his elbow down on the desk.
“Well,” he began, “Prior to two years ago, I was the Death Professor’s assistant. He trusted me with lots of personal and confidential information. The last time I saw him, he was at the Death School, and he told me he’d held onto Sylvia’s belongings and hid them somewhere safe, where nobody would find it. I asked him why he was telling me this, and he said that I would find them in the ‘dead tree full of life’, and that I should set them aside somewhere, so he could get them back someday to give to his wife. I asked him how he would get it to her if she was dead, but he was out the door next thing I knew.”
For an elderly chap, Professor Dworgyn had a lot to say. I drank in every word of his monologue.
“So where do you think the stuff actually is?” I asked.
    “No idea,” he replied.
The candle flickered. Immediately following was the awful noise of Mortis’s “teeth” chafing together.
“Why does Mortis have to do that?” I groaned.
“He’s been doing it ever since the month following Sylvia’s death,” Dworgyn said.
“Oh. I’m gonna go now,” I said. I walked over to the far end of the room and walked out the door, a million thoughts racing through my head.
Outside the classroom, I walked past the Death Tower and tripped over a big rock jutting from the ground. My book-bag flew out of my hand and its contents scattered everywhere, leaving a big mess. I cried out, partially because my foot hurt and partially out of despair at how long it would take me to organize everything that I had in there.
I cursed and began to pick up and sort out my belongings. I put my Myth homework back in my trapper keeper and grabbed a jar of calligraphy ink that was nearly empty, hoping what was inside could still be salvaged, when I came across my next clue to where the Diadem was.
I found some of my treasure cards sprawled across the ground next to a ‘Moolinda’s Green Thumb’ pack I had been planning on gifting to Rebecca. In the deck were a few useless cards like Fire Elf and Scarab, there were some Death cards like Scarecrow worth using, and sandwiched between two trap cards was the card ‘Revisit’. I scratched my head, wondering where it was from. Then I remembered that it had been a gift from Brill several months ago. The description said, “Allows you to go to any point in time”
And then it occurred to me that I could use this to find out where Malistaire had hidden his collection of all things Sylvia Drake—by looking into the past!
I cast the symbol for the school (I’m not sure which school it belonged to) and activated the spell.
I’m not sure how exactly the card itself knows just where in time I wanted to be, but it certainly knew the exact time and place I wanted to be at right then.

It was evening and the sun was setting in Ravenwood. The sky was a dim orange color, and the last few students raced each other back to their  dorms, laughing the whole way. The Death School was whole and intact and in Ravenwood at the time, and snow fell lightly through Bartelby’s branches. The Ice Professor (not Lydia Greyrose) was sculpting a snowman with another student, neither of them wearing mittens. The two were talking to one another.
“Professor Frostrider,” the student asked. “What are we going to do about the life school now that Professor Drake is gone?”
“We’ll find another Life Professor,” the teacher snapped. “It’s the Death Professor we should be worried about.”
“Well why is that?” she asked.
“Sylvia was Malistaire’s wife. Who knows what he going to do know that she’s dead,” Professor Frostrider sighed.
After a few minutes, the two had finished their snow sculpture in frost of Kelvin, and appearing satisfied, left to go back to their accommodations.
A few hours passed in complete silence. Nobody appeared to be awake now but Mortis. Then, in the dead of night, a shadowy figure nearly indistinguishable from the backdrop came out of the Death Tower, carrying a large briefcase. The outline came up to Mortis, and said in barely a whisper,
    “Are you awake, Mortis?”
“Yes,” the tree said, just as audible. “It’s done. You can hide your mementos in the safest place now.”
    “Excellent.”
The figure went behind the base of Mortis. There was a loud tapping noise, then the whirring sound of machinery. More white noise, then a thunk and all was silent. The unknown man slowly stumbled over back to the Death Tower, and everything turned black.

Revisit evaporated into a shower of golden light, leaving me to my thoughts and Mortis’s ceaseless teeth chattering.
    Mortis.
I’d only talked to the tree once to learn a level 16 spell, but I’d never considered him to know anything about  Sylvia or Malistaire Drake
I walked up to the tree and said, “Hey Mortis, why are your teeth always chattering?”
“I’ve always been cold. Ever since Malistaire hollowed me out,” Mortis confessed.
“What? Why did he do that?” I asked in surprise.
“When his wife died, Malistaire wanted his keepsakes of their love stowed away where nobody could take them, so he emptied what was inside of me to make a hiding place for everything he had of her and put inside me her clothes, her books, their photographs, and more. In other words, I’m a dead tree full of life.”
I raised an eyebrow, recalling Dworgyn’s words from earlier. So the collection might be inside the Death tree. I never would have guessed.
I went behind Mortis and leaned on the base of him. A square piece of the bark pushed in, like a panel. There was an electronic whirring noise, and the plate of wood opened up to reveal a shady room inside the tree, filled with a pile of possessions so dense it might’ve been a vault in Gringotts. I had to gasp at how much Malistaire put in there. I even saw the scrapbook I won from Sergeant Skullsplitter, though I’m not sure how it got there. I knew to look for some related to the Diadem, I would have to do some serious excavating.
I was distracted, however, by a voice from behind me. A familiar voice.
“Sorry, Caroline, but this is the end of the road,” he said. There was pain at the pack of my head, then everything went dark.

Yep.

Tuned Out

I am sort of tuned out from blogging, this week I have been doing lots of stuff, like getting together with friends (I had not seen Aidan for a while until Wednesday), school stuff, a very long Ether Saga Odyssey quest, and helping my sister with her teenager piggy-bank (who turned out to have $235 worth of pennies stashed away). It was so busy that I could barely find any time yesterday to post! Also, since I have nothing else to write I will entertain you with random, pointless things that aren't even funny. Thus where my blog gets its name from.
A. Last night I had a dream that Rukia from Bleach attacked me because I was a hollow.
B. I went onto this website based on the 39 Clues series and found out I was a Janus.
C. 火 氷
D. Right now I am eating a bagel with locks. Or lox. Or smoked salmon.
E. Is for horses
F. Did you know that regular human beings only use 30% of their brainpower?
G. Last night I watched To Kill a Mockingbird. The movie showed me things I had never realized about life, and when the movie ended, I realized... that Coraline was a horror movie. I was so sure that it was a family film! Weird!
H. Next post will be the next chapter of the Diadem.

Back to School

Hi guys! tomorrow is the start of school for me! It was delayed today because of the hurricane, but I got to go to Manhattan to help my sister move into her college dorm. I cannot think of anything else to post so I am going to go do other stuff now.

Back to the Blogosphere

Heya friends! You are probably asking yourself where in the Spiral has Caroline Dawnrunner been! Well as a matter of fact Caroline Dawnrunner has not been in the Spiral at all! She is actually a manifestation of myself, who has been doing lots of last minute vacation things, such as a sleepover with a friend (whose dad got me hooked on Lord of the Rings -.-), a relaxing trip to the town of Hyannis in Cape Cod, and then an awesome day trip to the Oak Bluffs in Martha's Vineyard. I rode the carousel in the Oak Bluffs. It brings back memories of when I was 6. I can't believe the last time I rode a carousel was half my life ago! I have also been working on a story plot (which I will reveal later), and I started playing Dungeons & Dragons Online to top it all off!

I have a lvl 2 Paladin that is in Stormreach and yayyy the game is really fun!! :3

Also, during vacation I discovered an interesting card game while at Martha's Vineyard!

Warning!! this picture may contain explicit content! Stare at your own risk!!
Only problem is, the game gets old really fast :(

And uh, I discovered myself in a screenshot on the blog Maniac Magic:

It was on the 'Night Mode' page. and ah yes this was from Vanessa Emeraldglade's wiziversary.
Also:
Think you know your manga well? What are the similarities and the differences between these two manga characters?

An activity to do while you wait for the next post.

Also, on Monday I am going back to school! Or maybe Tuesday, because Hurricane Irene is headed my way!

Keep it cool!

A Blogging Break

Hey wizards! I am going to take a break from the blogosphere for about, oh, a week. (Sorry)During this break I am going to do the following things:

  • Spend more time with my family (I feel like I haven't been doing enough of that)
  • Restart on Everquest
  • Finish Ranma 1/2 and Chobits (Manga)
  • Catch up with other games
  • Try to finish up in CL asap
  • Start going for walks more often
Oh yeah, and not having a subscription to Runescape is driving me nuts for the record. Because look:

Without subscription, I was too depressed to play so I logged in the other day and OMG THEY CHANGED DRAYNOR VILLAGE!! I didn't know! Actually now it sort of looks like Granemor... or Canifis. *Falls back into depression*

Also, if you get lonely, please look at this comic.

New Stuff on the Test Realm!

Yes, there are new things on the Test Realm: houses! I think it's the Wizard's Watchtower and the Sunken Palace! This morning I took an awesome tour of the new houses. I think they're really cool! Unfortunately I went back on for screenshots, but:

Meh W101 on this computer has a BIG brain fart... must reinstall game file...Well overall I thought the houses were really cool (And I envy the wizards who will own them on the Live Realm), but I am content with my MB house.
So, last night I saw Captain America: The First Avenger. It had lots of action-y stuff in it...

    And, um...

GAAASP! Somebody voted NO on the poll? What treachery is this? (LOL JK!!) Yeah I just felt like lookin on mah blog I do that occasionally to look on the blogroll and see anybody posted something on the blogosphere...

And um, I discovered Something terribly strange today:

Nyeh horses can't nod! Silly horse.

Nyeh I didn't have the run. Didn't think anybody would come anyway :P

Also, I'm gonna see a movie tonight :D

Not Again... (Pre-HoV Run)

HI wizards! How is your day going? I think some pplz are going back to school pretty soon... I will be going back in a couple weeks for my first day of middle school! And my older sister is going to college at NYU on the 30th! (:3 And, um, my other older sister is entering her senior year of high school!
Also, I was checking mah email today, and I found this update on Ether Saga Odyssey:

What?!?! NO!! First it's Ether Saga Online, THEN it's Ether Saga Odyssey, and NOW it's Ether Saga: Future's End!? I won't have it! Wait... wait a second, maybe... maybe it's just a new zone area in ESO... keep your fingers crossed girl...
Also, you might remember I am having my Hall of Valor run today. I am going to repeat the run info just to make sure...

Date: August 12th (8/12/2011)
Spot: Outside of Nidavellir (Hopefully that's how it's spelled)
Realm: Wu (Area 1)
Time: 7:00pm Eastern, 6:00pm Central, 5:00pm Mountain, 4:00pm Pacific
Other: Between the space of 7:00 Eastern and 7:30 is the best time to start coming in and porting and all that. If you are entering in the HoV run, when you get to the Nidavellir doors shout, "Cheese!" In caps. If you are menu chat do the flex emote, then the wave emote. If at least three people show up no more run entries, and I don't think this is gonna happen because I'm expecting about one or two pplz. Cuz like I said before, it's not so popular a blog. At 7:30 (Eastern) we are actually going to do the run.
Make sure you're prepared with everything (i.e., went to the bathroom beforehand, deck equipped w| necessary spells, eaten dinner possibly), because Jotun is harder to beat than Malistaire for those who don't know, because he has two brothers, who each have 8k hp, while Jotun has 9k hp. They also have a buddy with 1k hp. Of course what am I saying, it's not so hard if you're a Legendary or something.

Who am I kidding; nobody's gonna show up anyways...

Also, I updated the bottom of the blog:

Yep, I added my deviantART gallery, Darth Vader Quote of the Day, and more! Enjoy!

Lots of Stuff Going On

Hey wizard fellas! Today I got the Panther mount! Sry there isn't a picture of me on it because:

Yes. The malicious server error strikes again.
So. As of today, I am a more active member of DoaWC! See mah profile page here! Also I started doing blog posts on there. And I joined a couple groups. So yep.

Also, I have been trying to finish up GH before I start up on CL again, but I can't find anyone to do Jotun w| me. So... I is having a HALL OF VALOR RUN!!!

I don't think anybody's gonna show up (Since this isn't such a popular blog of course), but just in case here is the time schedule and stuff:

Alright, be prepared! Remember that the run is tomorrow!

ESO Adventures

Well hi wizards! as you can see I remodeled a bit! Enjoy the new header!

(Aedan is finally out of his ninja costume. He looks like an actual Diviner now. That is a good thing.)

Also, I put a poll on the sidebar >>>>>>>>>>: should I start making Commisioned Artwork?
If the majority says yes, then on the 14th I'll post the commision conduct/rules.

Plus, I quit the comic (Finally! It was getting nowhere!). Instead I will do a fanfic.

Also, it is ETHER SAGA ODYSSEY TIME! Yes. Compared to Wizard101, ESO is the only one I'll ever love.

(Did this pic back in March)

So today I showed off mah awesome Ren swimming skills:

(This is what Ezelle looks like when her armor isn't glowing)
I really reccomend this game to anybody who likes manga. This is truly an awesome game by Perfect World. The Muromachi-supernatural theme is really stunning.

So. Wysteria has pigs in it. What is the significance of that, you might ask? Well, speaking of pigs, the Breeding Grounds Manager just so happens to be a pig.

Well Zeuster be darned, I now play TWO MMORPG's with pigs in them!

Oh. Make that three?
Well I'm glad there isn't a bacon school in W101. I suspect the Pigswick Academy students are immune to bacon...

Well they aren't immune to Myth :D (albeit Randolf Spellshine)!

And I ended the day obtaining the last page of the sūtra. Odyssey faintly reeks of Journey to the West... (:|

So I hope everything goes, uh, swimmingly!

FREAKING OUT HERE. (Deviation From Other Blogs)

Hi-hi everybody! I am in the process of remodelizing my blog a little bit, and I am going to stop doing the following stuff to make my blog a little different from the rest of you guys:

  • Deleting the website contributors page. Because one time I saw this blog Saviors of the Spiral who did that. and that's not fair to them. So I will update my profile page.
  • Stopping with the highlighted text. Okay, this one I am FREAKIN OUT ABOUT!!! BECAUSE I DID THE HIGHLIGHTED TEXT FOR SO LONG!!! AND I HAD NO IDEA IT WAS A DRAWING OF A DORK'S LIFE TRADEMARK!!! OHH THIS IS SO EMBARRASING! I CAME WITH THIS IDEA FROM ANNOTATIONS I SAW ON A YOUTUBE VIDEO THAT SOUNDED LIKE THEY WERE TALKING BACK AND FORTH!!! Hey wait a second...

The comic strip Jimmy Corrigan, the Smartest Kid on Earth also features an infant boy who has a football-shaped head with some hairs sticking out of it, talks in a very eloquent manner, fears his mother and constantly comes up with inventions to help him escape from her. The comic strip's creator, Chris Ware, started drawing Jimmy as early as in 1991. About the characters, he remarked, "[The similarities are] a little too coincidental to be simply, well, coincidental." He further stated, "I don't want a book of seven years' worth of my stuff to become available and then be accused of being a rip-off of Family Guy." 20th Century Fox insists that Stewie is an entirely original character. In a 2003 interview, Seth MacFarlane has stated that he had never seen the comic strip before, but the similarities are "pretty shocking".
(This is a direct quote from a Wikipedia page and no part of it belongs to me. All rights reserved.)
K I feel a little better now!

  • Stop posting lots of screenshots with captions. Another Drawing of a Dork's Life trademark I didn't know about...
Well actually I'm making a couple more changes, but I just wanted to post hw I'm deviating from other blogs. Cya!

Side Quest Shuffle...

"YOU KILLED TED YOU MEDEIVAL JINKWEEN!!"
         -Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure

Sup everybody! Mostly what I've been doing finishing up side quests. I am now 'Dragonspyre Master'! And 'Dragonrider'! And 'Loremaster'! And 'DS Explorer'! Now I am trying to beat GH. I also met a new Magus friend in doing so...

AARGH DEFEATED BY A MAGUS!!!

Your powers are weak, old man!

IMMA GURL!!

Also, I have decided to try Briskbreeze Tower again. Hopefully I've learned that persistence is power, and that I shouldn't give up on stuff like this. And after I finish everything up:

Wintertusk, here I come!

A Quick Post

Konnichiwa, blog reader-san! Kakenasai and read this quick post! I was going to show this really awesome picture I drew last night, but the scanner is only hooked up to the other computer. Here is a random screenshot I took last night:

And maybe I'll something else later today. Sayonara!

Wysteria -- Easy and Fun!

Like the title said, Wysteria is easy and fun! I finished the whole thing in one day, side quests and all. I also saw hints of new worlds, such as Wierwood, Empyrea, and Mirage. I see some serious potential for the world itself too! Wysteria-themed houses, Pegasi mounts, pet Wood Goblins, and more! Personally I think there should be a limited-time event next year in 2012 where everybody competes for the cup at Ravenwood. Actually that gives me an idea! I was thinking about how in the Neopets Altador Cup you can choose to be on a team in a different country in Neopia, so wizards can choose teams on worlds like WC, KT, MB, MS, DS, GH, CL, WT, Wysteria (not sure what the abbreiviation for it is) and any other worlds! It'll be really fun!

Of course I won the tournament, imbeciles. What did you expect?

While I was fighting the Green Men on Tanglewood Way, I was thing about a Runescape quest called Fairy Tale Part I: Growing Pains. In the quest you had to fight a boss called a Tanglefoot with magical gardening tools to save the Queen Fairy.

...

Wierwood is really Zanaris! (:D

Well, overall, it was an awesome side world. I can't wait for it to be on the Live Realm!
-Caroline Dawnrunner☆☆☆☆☆

Caroline is on the Test Realm!

OK, this time I'm not going to barrage you with screenshots. This time I will barrage you with ADAMANTITE!!! BWAHAHAHAHA!!

Lol JK!

So anyways I went on Wizard101 Test this morning. The first thing that popped into my head was: Free Crowns. Yes! 50k worth of them! I bought a Storm Mastery Amulet, an Arcane Staff, a Cerulean Edge, and a Dream Filly. Also I managed to get in a single screenshot before the servers went down. I have no idea where that screenshot is, but I'll find it somehow. I did notice that the unicorn in Wysteria is probably like Diego's brother? But they must have had a troubled past, because he called Diego a 'charlatan' and I'm not sure what that actually means but it must be contemptuous. Anyways, more on my Wysterian adventures soon!

More Party Screenshots!

So I went to Vanessa Emeraldglade's Wiziversary party. It was very fun! I made some friends who are bloggers, met wizards with all sorts of crazy pets, gear, and weapons, and examined all the cool furniture in the house with awe. Unfortunately, my Mom wanted me to get off the computer and do other stuff. She said that Atticus should be locked up in an asylum, and that he let me and Jem run around like stray dogs, and wait a second I think I stayed up too late last night reading To Kill a Mockingbird. Anyways, I showed up fashionably early for the party, and here's what happened:

Apparently I hadn't started the quest 'Strange Frequencies'
I showed up "Fashionably Early". Hopefully Vanessa didn't notice me...
 Meeting some other pplz
 Agreeing about something.
 Meeting more pplz
New meaning the the very phrase!
Vanessa looks like a walking/talking pumpkin!
 A floating piano..?
 Deathywiz takes charge!
The party kind of felt like that movie Misery. We were confined to 3 tiny little rooms in a Masive Fantasy Palace. It's because the rest of the place was messy, but a new friend I made before the party named David Thundersword seemed to be bothered by it. I'm serious, the guy went crazy over it! For the rest of the party he kept doing the frowny face thing >:(<
If you say that out loud really fast you sound like a chicken!
Perplexing...

Overall an awesome party. I had to leave early, so I'm not sure if the party's still going on or not, but thx a lot Vanessa! You earned a pic of yourself!

Crud! It's a SMALL picture! But still...
